Scott Perry

Scott arrived in Perthshire 15 years ago to work on a week long wood restoration project and has never left. Originally from Epping Forest, his love of trees, wood and countryside has kept him here in Big Tree Country.
Scott trained as an antique furniture restorer with an upmarket furniture store in the South but now makes beautiful tables himself from windfall wood, sourced locally in Perthshire. His tables are all unique and sustainable.

Much of his wood is collected from Blair Athol, Murthly Castle Estate, Taymouth Castle Estate, surrounding farms and land surrounding Dunkeld. The wood is saved from firewood and given new purpose.

Scott says “I love what I do, the joy of making new things from old trees. My style is a mix of the styles I’ve learned about over the years. Each piece is a one off. I like the story the wood tells ….I like giving the wood new life.”
Scott’s tables can be found in some of the finest castles in Perthshire including Taymouth,  Blair, Murthly, National Trust and Forest Commission land and The Glenlyon Estate.
